Jinbin Chen (b. 1994) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, text, object, and sculpture. Born in Guangdong and raised in Xiamen, China, he resides in Oslo. He received his MFA from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 2021, following his BFA from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, in 2019. Recent exhibitions include The Heimlichkeit of the Home, Fotogalleri Vasli Souza, Oslo, Norway (2021), Omega and (Anti-)Decay Atlas, Northing Space, Bergen, Norway (2022), Returnees, Kohn Gallery, Los Angeles, California, USA, (2022), and an upcoming exhibition at Kunstnerforbundet, Oslo, in 2023. Chen participated in the group exhibition Indoctrination: Multivalent Gestures, curated by Dahir Hussein, Fotogalleriet's first Curatorial Fellow, spring 2024.
