DKS LAB

DKS-LAB is a nationwide network of experimental platforms for visual art in Den Kulturelle Skolesekken (in English "The Cultural Schoolbag"), DKS, which facilitates the opportunity for artists to develop and test content for the DKS program. The purpose of the initiative is to give children and young people more frequent and meaningful encounters with visual art, by giving artists the opportunity to experiment and gain important experience in communicating to the target group before creating program proposals for DKS.
Key to the city / Nøkkel til byen

Since autumn 2020 Fotogalleriet has participated in ‘Keys to the City’, an audience development programme, where we start conversations between cultural institutions and the audience groups who rarely visit them, produced by TrAP (Transcultural Arts Production) and producer Amina Sahan. In 2020-21 we have employed Shakira Mohamed, Chirine Sbai, and Sakib Saboor through the programme. Read more here
Workshops

Den Kulturelle Skolesekken, in English "The Cultural Schoolbag", is a national programme designed to ensure that all school pupils in Norway experience professional art and culture.

Guided visits & workshops

Fotogalleriet offers guided visits to both small and large groups. The guided visits can be adapted to your research or
general interests.

Autumn 2021 Fotogalleriet offered a camera workshop aimed at young people (11-15) by the OsloMet interns Lena Vida and Emilie Enkrog. We are working to be able to offer the workshop again in the near future as part of our regular learning programmes.
