CURATORIAL FELLOWSHIP
Fotogalleriet’s Curatorial Fellowship is not currently open for applications. A new open call will be announced when the next round is launched.
Fotogalleriet’s Curatorial Fellowship endorses a full-time position for a year of practice and research towards an exhibition provoking new thought and visual propositions within the arts for people aspiring to make novel claims within the aesthetic field. The aim of this engagement is to hire a young individual with a multicultural background that aspire to strengthen their curatorial knowledge and practice. The end-goal of this project is to diversify and challenge the otherwise homogenous cultural field.
The curatorial fellow, Lara Okafor (1995), is a software developer, writer, and organizer. They are curious about finding ways of reconstructing the white cube by collaborating with, and appealing to marginalized people that do not see themselves claiming space in the art field. The curatorial fellow Dahir Hussein was Fotogalleriet’s first Curatorial Fellowship grantee. Read more about his project INDOCTRINATION: MULTIVALENT GESTURES here.
