Claiming Space Norway/Sápmi 2024
Four temporary artworks across Norway and Sápmi about the freedom to exist in public spaces.
By moving the artistic performances out into the public space the artists actively challenges the expectations that can be placed on them based on their ethnicity, gender and/or sexuality. It’s a shameless act because they don’t longer accept the social norms attributed to marginalized people.
